Best Time To Visit Duke's Nose (Khandala) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Duke's Nose, Khandala

The ideal time to visit Duke's Nose, also known as "Nagphani", in Khandala is during the post-monsoon season, typically from October to February. During this period, the weather is pleasant with lower humidity and the temperature ranges between 12°C and 29°C. This cool and comfortable climate is perfect for hiking and exploring the outdoors without the discomfort of excess heat or heavy rainfall. The monsoon season, which runs from June to September, brings heavy rains to the region, making the trails slippery and dangerous. However, immediately after monsoons, the landscape is rejuvenated with lush greenery and cascading waterfalls, offering spectacular views, making early post-monsoon an exceptionally beautiful time to visit.

For those looking to witness the panoramic views in clearer conditions, winter months are highly recommended. November and December allow visitors to enjoy the trek with minimal rain disturbances and clear skies, providing breathtaking vistas of the surrounding hills and valleys. The cool breeze during this time also adds to the pleasant experience. However, if you are someone who appreciates solitude and wants to avoid the usual tourist crowds, opting for weekdays or the starting weeks of October might work best. Additionally, it's essential for hikers to check local weather updates before planning their trip to Duke's Nose as conditions can vary unexpectedly due to its elevation and geographical location.
