This waterfall is a confluence of three streams, namely Chandravanka Vagu, Nakkala Vagu, and Tummala Vagu. The waterfall is part of a mountain stream which flows down the Eastern Ghats and joins the Krishna River eventually. The area around Ethipothala Falls has been developed into a park with a viewing gallery to allow visitors to enjoy the panoramic view of the falls and the verdant landscape. Notably, there is a crocodile breeding center in the pond formed by the waterfall, which is an added attraction.
