Best Time to Visit Golf Course Shillong, Meghalaya, India

Shillong, well-known as the "Scotland of the East," has a pleasant climate year-round; however, the best time to visit the Golf Course in Shillong is between the months of May and October. During this period, the weather remains moderate and comfortable for golfing, with temperatures ranging from a minimum of about 15°C to a maximum of around 24°C. This window also encompasses the monsoon season, which typically starts in June and ends in September, bringing lush greenery to the course, making it visually stunning, though rainfall can occasionally disrupt outdoor activities. Golf enthusiasts should consider planning their visit around the monsoon to enjoy the best playing conditions combined with scenic beauty.

Nonetheless, for those looking to avoid the rain, the post-monsoon months of October and November provide an optimal golfing experience. During these months, the weather is dry, with clearer skies and lesser rainfall, creating perfect conditions for golf. It is also an excellent time for those who wish to explore other attractions in Shillong without worrying about heavy rains. However, golfers should note that the mornings can be quite chilly, so dressing in layers is advisable. The Golf Course, one of the oldest in India, offers a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere for players amidst the city's panoramic landscapes regardless of when you visit.
