Built in the 19th-century Maratha period by the queen of Scindia dynasty Bayajibai Scindia, the temple exhibits a blend of Maratha, Rajput, and North Indian architectural styles, making it one of the aesthetic landmarks of the city. It is nestled in the temple city's colorful bazaar area, called Dabri Pech. The structure is predominantly made of intricately carved marble and features a two-storied sanctum adorned with silver-plated doors that were once shipped to London by Mahmud of Ghazni but later retrieved by Mahadji Scindia. Pilgrims flock to this sacred place, especially during Janmashtami, the birth festival of Lord Krishna. The serene atmosphere and the rhythmic chanting of hymns create an ambience that transcends the hustle of the daily life outside the temple premises. The temple is also part of the famous 'Panchkroshi Yatra,' an important spiritual journey for devotees.

Dedicated to Sri Dwarkadhish , this is a very beautiful Vishnu temple . Lies just near the Mahakaleshwar temple. Very nice paintings ,depicting the life of Lord Krishna adorn the walls . A must visit
