Kaliadeh Palace Tourism

Kaliadeh Palace, located on the banks of the river Shipra in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, India, is a significant historical site which dates back to 1458 AD. The palace exhibits the grandeur of Persian influenced architecture and has been the witness to several historical events. Partly damaged by Pindaris, the structure was later restored by Madhav Rao Scindia in 1920. The central dome of the palace is a sight to behold, with Persian inscriptions decorating it, reflecting the architectural styles of the times gone by. The palace complex is divided by a water channel that is skillfully incorporated into the structure. Two Persian inscriptions record the visits of Emperor Akbar and Jahangir to this palace. Standing on the Sun Temple's site, it is often linked to numerous astronomical and historical tales. The surrounding views and the flowing river make this place serene enough for visitors to feel the blend of natural beauty with historical architecture.
