Guindy National Park, located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, is one of the smallest National Parks in India, covering an area of just 2.82 square kilometers. Established in 1976, the park is an extension of the grounds surrounding Raj Bhavan, the residence of the Governor of Tamil Nadu. The park boasts a rich variety of flora and fauna, with over 400 species of plants and a wide range of animal life, including blackbucks, spotted deer, jackals, and a variety of snake species, among others. The park is also a haven for birdwatchers, offering a chance to spot several species of birds. Zoo ... just a zoo....
This is not a national park if the nation can not enjoy it. It is just a zoo. All the res of the gorgeous area is saved for the governor's family.... sham!!
