Gurudwara Anandpur Sahib, also known as Takht Sri Keshgarh Sahib, is one of the most important spiritual and cultural centres for Sikhs worldwide. Located in Anandpur Sahib, Punjab, India, it stands on the site where Khalsa, the brotherhood of the Sikh faith, was founded by Guru Gobind Singh Ji in 1699. The gurudwara is situated on the edge of the Shivalik Hills, beside the River Sutlej, creating a serene and picturesque environment for devotees and tourists alike. Anandpur Sahib has been witness to numerous historical events and is known for its vibrant architecture that features white marble and golden domes. The complex includes several other gurudwaras associated with the lives of the Sikh Gurus and is a hub for religious study and discourse. It is a place where visitors can immerse themselves in the peaceful chants of Gurbani, explore Sikh history, and participate in the communal 'langar' for an experience that feeds the soul as well as the body.
