Takht Sri Keshgarh Sahib, located in Anandpur Sahib, Punjab, India, is one of the five temporal authorities (Takhts) in Sikhism. It's situated on the site where Khalsa was founded by the tenth Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh, in 1699. As one of the holiest Sikh shrines, it stands where the Guru initiated the Panj Pyare (Five Beloved Ones), administering Amrit (nectar) to them. This historic event marks the establishment of the Khalsa, a collective body of initiated Sikhs. The Gurudwara boasts imposing architecture with a white and gold facade, and a spiritual aura that draws countless visitors and pilgrims annually. The complex includes resting places for pilgrims, a museum housing relics of Sikh history, and a langar hall offering free meals. The town of Anandpur Sahib is soaked in Sikh cultural heritage and is closely associated with numerous pivotal events in Sikh history.
