Best Time To Visit Iruppu Falls (Coorg) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Iruppu Falls in Coorg

The ideal time to visit Iruppu Falls in Coorg is during the monsoon and post-monsoon months, from June to November. During this period, the South-West monsoons cause heavy rainfall in the region which leads to the waterfalls swelling up and gushing down with great force. The lush greenery of the surrounding forest becomes even more vibrant, offering a breathtaking view for nature lovers. The monsoon rains add to the volume and beauty of the falls making it a spectacular sight. It is also a good time for photographers and rain enthusiasts to capture the beauty of the roaring falls amidst the misty environment.

However, for those who prefer to visit when the weather is slightly dryer, the period just after the monsoons, in November or early December, can also be ideal. During this time, the rainfall subsides, and the surroundings remain lush and green without the heavy downpours which might cause inconvenience for trekking or sightseeing. Additionally, wildlife in the nearby Brahmagiri Wildlife Sanctuary is more visible when the density of the rains reduces. One should be cautious as the terrain might still be slippery and appropriate waterproof gear should be considered essential. Regardless of the season, visitors should always check local weather forecasts and conditions before planning their trip.
