The Jain Temple of Jainimedu is a historical Jain shrine situated in the town of Palakkad in Kerala, India. Dating back to the 15th century, it is an important remnant of Jain culture in the region and is considered one of the few Jain temples in Kerala. The temple, stretching over an area of about 32,000 square feet, stands as an example of the architectural prowess of Jain monuments, featuring traditional stone construction. The presiding deity of the temple is Chandraprabha, the eighth Tirthankara of Jainism. The walls of the temple are adorned with beautiful images and figures depicting various Tirthankaras and Yakshas. Jainimedu Jain Temple is not only a place of worship but also a testament to the once-flourishing Jain community in the southern part of India. Historical place
Very good place for history lovers. Its actually not a tourist place. Its hardly 2.5 km from palakkad railway station.

Jaini Medu-Palakkad
Jain culture still alive in down south of India! A visit worth to know the Country's rich past. Best time to visit is from September to November.
