The name 'Seethargundu' translates to 'Sita's rock,' and according to local legend, it is believed that Sita, the heroine of the epic Ramayana, used to visit this rock. The viewpoint is reachable via a scenic drive through winding roads that are lined with verdant foliage and shimmering silver streams. It serves as a haven for nature lovers, photographers, and trekkers seeking solace and inspiration from the serene beauty of the landscape. The surrounding area is also famous for the Pothundy Dam, which enhances the overall beauty of the region and gives visitors additional recreational options such as boating and picnicking.
