Kanak Bhawan is a revered temple situated in the heart of Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, India. It is dedicated to Lord Ram and his consort Sita. According to popular belief, the temple was gifted to Sita by Lord Ram's stepmother, Queen Kaikeyi, immediately after their royal wedding. The present structure of Kanak Bhawan is quite contemporary, with its origins tracing back to the 19th century when it was reconstructed by Vrisha Bhanu of Orchha and Tikamgarh. The temple is well-known for the idols of Lord Ram and Sita that appear in regal attire, adorned with gold crowns and jewelry. The name 'Kanak' means gold, and the Bhawan features elaborate artworks, intricate designs, and golden decorations reflecting the grandeur of the era. The temple radiates a spiritual aura and is a key pilgrimage site, drawing devotees from all over the world.
