The Saryu River Ghats, located in Ayodhya of Uttar Pradesh, India, are a series of steps leading down to the river Saryu, considered sacred in Hindu mythology. Sprawling along the riverbank, these ghats are pivotal to the daily life and religious practices in Ayodhya, as they are the site of various rituals, including the evening aarti, and also serve as the venue for numerous festivals. The river is believed to purify a person's soul, which is why many pilgrims bathe here. The ghats have a deeply immersive atmosphere with their vibrant cultural activities, chants of prayers, and the fragrance of incense. Along with the religious significance, the Saryu Ghats offer a peaceful and picturesque experience, with the backdrop of the setting sun reflecting on the flowing river. Ayodhya itself is deeply steeped in mythological significance as the birthplace of Lord Rama, a major deity in Hinduism.
