Mani Parbat and Sugriv Parbat are two ancient mounds with religious significance located in the heart of Ayodhya, a city in Uttar Pradesh, India. Ayodhya is chiefly known for its association with the epic Ramayana, where it is depicted as the birthplace of the god-king Rama. The two hillocks, though not towering, hold religious and historical importance. Mani Parbat is believed to be a part of the mountain that was carried by Lord Hanuman from the Himalayas to Lanka during Rama's war against Ravana, as described in the Ramayana. The mound has several temples on its peak and offers panoramic views of Ayodhya. Sugriv Parbat, named after Lord Rama's ally Sugriv, adds to the city’s spiritual landscape. Legends say that sages meditated here, and it is considered to be the place where valuable ornaments were dropped by Sita, Rama's wife. Today, devotees climb these mounds to pay homage and absorb their historical and cultural essence.
