Best Time To Visit Lion's Point (Lonavala) In 2026

Lion's Point in Lonavala is a scenic viewpoint offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys. The best time to visit Lion's Point is during the monsoon season, which runs from June to September. During this period, the entire region is lush green, and the weather is cool and pleasant, creating an almost ethereal ambiance at the viewpoint. The monsoons also bring life to numerous waterfalls in the area, which can be seen cascading down the cliffs. However, caution is advised as the area can be slippery and the fog may often reduce visibility.

Another favorable time to visit is just after the monsoon, from October to early December. During these months, the post-monsoon landscape exhibits a vibrant green hue, and the skies are generally clear, offering unhindered views of the Western Ghats. It is also the perfect time for those interested in photography or simply to enjoy nature at its best. For those who want to avoid the crowds, weekdays are preferable to weekends. Moreover, visiting during the early mornings or late evenings can provide a chance to experience spectacular sunrises or sunsets over the hills.
