Lothal Museum Tourism

Lothal, one of the most prominent cities of the ancient Indus valley civilization, is located in the Bhal region of modern Gujarat, near the village of Saragwala. Excavated in 1954, Lothal stands as a testament to the ingenuity of urban planning and the maritime architecture of the Harappan culture, dating back to 2400 BCE. The site encompasses the ruins of the city along with a museum that was established in 1976 to house the artifacts discovered during the excavations. This includes a variety of objects such as beads, terracotta ornaments, pottery, and tools.
