Marine National Park and Sanctuary, located in the Gulf of Kutch near Jamnagar, Gujarat, is India's first marine park. Spread over 162 square kilometres, it encompasses an archipelago of around 42 islands, noted for their coral reefs and mangroves. It was declared a national park in 1982. The protected area is home to a variety of species like flamingos, herons, plovers, ducks, and crabs, alongside dolphins, whales, and various types of fish.
