St. Mary's Basilica is a historic church located in the heart of Bengaluru (formerly Bangalore), Karnataka, India. Established by a French missionary in the 17th century, the church was originally built as a small chapel. It has since been expanded and elevated to a basilica by Pope Paul VI in 1973, making it the first church in the state of Karnataka to be accorded such a status. The gothic-style architecture of the church is awe-inspiring, with majestic towers, intricate stained-glass windows, and a serene ambiance that invites quiet reflection. The Basilica is also famous for its remarkable statue of Mother Mary, which is said to have miraculous powers; this makes it an important pilgrimage site during the St. Mary's Feast in September every year. The vibrant festivities and elaborate procession draw devotees from across the region.

Treat people like cattle.
Strictly a business. Under the guise of church. Never could find a priest. None of the nuns that were seen, smiling or friendly to anyone.
