While the sanctuary remains open throughout the year, the ideal time to visit is from March to June and again from September to November. These months offer a pleasant climate suitable for bird watching, trekking, and enjoying the lush greenery. During the spring and early summer, from March to June, the weather is warm yet comfortable with clear skies, making it perfect for spotting a wide array of bird species as they are quite active during this period. In addition, the area is rich in flora which is in full bloom, enhancing the experience with picturesque views.
Alternatively, the months of September to November present an excellent opportunity for visitors who prefer a cooler climate. After the monsoon season, the greenery is at its peak and the landscapes are verdant. This period also coincides with the migratory season, resulting in an increased number of bird species to observe. However, visitors should avoid the monsoon months of July and August due to heavy rainfall which can lead to slippery trails and potential roadblocks. Similarly, the winter months of December to February can be quite chilly with chances of snow, which might be an impediment for some travellers, although the snow-clad surroundings offer a unique and serene beauty for those who do not mind the cold.
