Paro International Airport (PBH) is the only international airport in Bhutan. There are no direct trains or roads that connect Paro internationally, so the primary means for international visitors to reach Paro is by flight.

By Road:

Traveling by road to Bhutan can be done through the border town of Phuentsholing. Visitors must obtain a permit before entering Bhutan. For Indian nationals, Permits can be processed at the Immigration Office in Phuentsholing. From there, you can hire a taxi or catch a bus to Paro, which is approximately 160 km away.

By Train:

The nearest railway stations are in India: Hasimara (17 km from Phuentsholing), New Jalpaiguri (NJP) in West Bengal (around 150 km from Phuentsholing), and Alipurduar (60 km from Phuentsholing). From these stations, one would typically hire a taxi or catch a bus to reach Bhutan's border, followed by another taxi or bus to reach Paro.
