The best time to visit Punakha Dzong is during the spring months from March to May when the weather is pleasant, and the lush valley surrounding the dzong is in full bloom. The temperatures during these months range from a mild 15°C to a warm 25°C, ensuring a comfortable visit without the extreme cold that can be prevalent in the winter months or the heavy monsoon rains in the summer.
