The Rani Temple, also known as the Maharani Temple, is an alluring historical structure situated in Gulmarg, Jammu and Kashmir, India. It was built by Maharani Mohini Bai Sisodia, the wife of the erstwhile ruler of Jammu and Kashmir, Maharaja Hari Singh, in 1915. Standing distinctly on a small hillock in the heart of Gulmarg, the temple is an example of the Dogra art form and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is made more picturesque by the backdrop of snow-capped mountains and verdant meadows that surround it. The Rani Temple is a place of significant religious value and also serves as a tourist attraction due to its unique architecture and the history attached to it. The temple's intricate wooden architecture and the spectacular panoramic views it offers make it a treasured gem of Gulmarg. It can be easily reached by walking or by taking a pony ride from the main market of Gulmarg.

Jai Jai Shiv Shankar - Maharani Temple
Lovely small temple with about 50 steps easily doable. View from top of the temple is beautiful. The famous song of Rajesh Khanna and Mumtaz - Jai Jai Shiv Shankar was shot here.

Peaceful and small temple.
Good temple to visit. It can be covered by a pony ride along with Maharaja temple and 5-6 other places. Pony costed 1500 for couple.
Start around 5 pm if visiting in summers.

Great View. Worthy walk in heavy snow
Great View. Worthy walk in heavy snow. We had a very good time, play on beside of this temple. If you have pinnacular its great fun to see the ski track.
