Arrival in Bali

Firstly, make sure you have arrived at one of Bali's main gateways, which is usually Ngurah Rai International Airport (Denpasar).

Option 1: Hire a Car with a Driver

The most comfortable and flexible way to visit Sekumpul Waterfall is by hiring a car with a driver. It takes roughly 2.5 to 3 hours from the airport or from tourist areas like Kuta, Seminyak, or Ubud. Negotiate the price before you start your journey, and make sure that the driver knows the exact location of Sekumpul Waterfall.

Option 2: Rent a Scooter

If you are experienced in riding a scooter and up for an adventure, renting a scooter might be for you. Ride north towards Singaraja and then follow the signs to Sekumpul Waterfall. Be prepared for a journey that will take roughly 3 hours.

Option 3: Public Transportation (Combination)

This option is the least convenient and can be quite time-consuming. Take a bus towards Singaraja and then another local transport to the Sekumpul village.

Entrance to the Waterfall

Upon reaching the Sekumpul village, there will be a small parking area. From there, expect a rather challenging trek down to the waterfall, which includes lots of stairs and occasionally steep paths. Ensure you have good footwear and bring water. Local guides are available for hire and can provide valuable insight into the area. There is also an entrance fee to access the falls, so bring some cash.

Note: Travelling times can be affected by traffic conditions so plan your trip with some time buffer.

Climate and Best Time to Visit
