Shivpuri experiences a typical subtropical climate, and the most pleasant time for tourists to visit is during the cooler months, starting from October to March. During these months, the weather is relatively cool and comfortable, with temperatures ranging between 10°C to 27°C. This period is ideal for outdoor activities such as safari rides in the Madhav National Park, visiting the Shivpuri Palace, and exploring the Chhatris (cenotaphs). The chilly nights make for a perfect setting for campfires if you are staying at the forest lodges or resorts.
If you are interested in cultural events, visit during the festive seasons to catch a glimpse of the local celebrations. However, if you prefer to avoid the crowds, the months of November and February are recommended. The monsoon, from July to September, also makes for a scenic visit, as the rains bring out the lush greenery of the area.
