Best Time To Visit Somnath Beach (Somnath) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Somnath Beach

The ideal period to visit Somnath Beach in Somnath, Gujarat, is between October and March when the climate is most pleasant for beach activities and temple visits. During these months, the weather remains moderate with minimal rainfall, which makes it perfect for sightseeing and enjoying the serene beauty of the Arabian Sea. Tourists can indulge in long walks on the beach, experience the awe-inspiring aarti (prayer ceremony) at the famous Somnath Temple, and explore nearby attractions without the discomfort of extreme temperatures.

Visiting Somnath Beach during the winter season not only provides relief from the scorching heat but also presents an opportunity to participate in the vibrant festivities that Gujarat is known for, such as Navratri and the International Kite Festival. Additionally, the cooler weather is ideal for spotting dolphins, which are occasionally seen near the coastline. However, it is advisable to avoid the summer months, especially from April to June, when temperatures can soar high, making outdoor activities less enjoyable. The monsoon season, from July to September, should also be approached with caution due to heavy rainfall, which might disrupt travel plans.
