Best Time To Visit Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, India

The best time to visit Tirupati, renowned for the sacred Sri Venkateswara Temple, is between the months of September and February. This period marks the post-monsoon and winter seasons when the weather is pleasant, with cooler temperatures averaging around 15°C to 30°C. Pilgrims and tourists alike can enjoy the temple visits and local sightseeing without being hindered by the heat that is typical in the summer months. Additionally, the natural beauty of the surrounding hills and waterfalls is at its peak after the rejuvenating rains, making it an ideal time for both devotion and exploration.

Visiting during the festive season can also enhance the experience, as Tirupati buzzes with religious fervor and various celebrations. Particularly, the Brahmotsavam festival, usually held in September or October, is a significant event when the deity is taken for a procession on different vahanas (chariots), attracting millions of devotees. However, this can also mean larger crowds and longer wait times for darshan (the holy viewing of the deity). To avoid the humidity of the summer and the heavy rainfall during the monsoon, planning your visit in the cooler, dryer months will offer the most comfortable and fulfilling pilgrimage to this revered destination.
