Ajatshatru Fort Tourism

Ajatshatru Fort, located in the quaint town of Rajgir in Bihar, India, is a historical fortification that dates back to around 2500 years. It is believed to have been built by Ajatshatru, a king of the Haryanka dynasty, during the 6th century BC, making it contemporaneous with Gautama Buddha's time. The fort stands as a testimony to ancient Indian military architecture and the historical confluence of various religions and cultures. Constructed mainly with bricks, this fort showcases the ingenuity of ancient engineering techniques. It stands amidst low hills and greenery that characterize the Rajgir landscape.
