Vishwa Shanti Stupa, also known as the World Peace Pagoda, is situated at the historic city of Rajgir in Bihar, India. It stands majestically on a 400-meter-high hill, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. The stupa was built under the guidance of Fujii Guruji and is a symbol of peace and non-violence. It is constructed out of white marble and has statues of Lord Buddha at four stages of his life - birth, enlightenment, teaching, and death - in four different postures. This stupa is a part of the series of peace pagodas built across the world by the Japanese Buddhist order Nipponzan Myohoji to spread the message of peace and harmony. Visitors can reach the top by a ropeway, which provides an enthralling experience of the ascent, or by using the stone steps carved into the side of the hill. The lush greenery and serene atmosphere make it a place for meditation and reflection. The stupa also includes a Japanese temple, which further adds to the spiritual ambiance of the location.
