Baijnath Temple is a revered ancient temple situated in Baijnath town in Almora district of Uttarakhand, India. Positioned along the banks of the Gomti River, the temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It features a remarkable North Indian Nagar style of architecture that dates back to the 12th century. The temple complex houses the main deity, Lord Shiva, represented here as Vaidyanath, 'the Lord of physicians'. Intricate carvings, stone sculptures, and the serene environment add to the temple's spiritual ambiance. Baijnath Temple has great historical and religious significance as it once formed a part of the Katyuri Kingdom and is believed to be the place where Lord Shiva and Parvati were married. It is a living testament to the skills of the medieval stone carvers of the Kumaon region.
