Best Time to Visit Bhedaghat Dhuandhar Falls in Jabalpur

The ideal time to visit Dhuandhar Falls in Bhedaghat, Jabalpur, is during the post-monsoon season, particularly between October and March. During these months, the weather remains pleasant and conducive for sightseeing, as the temperatures generally range from a comfortable 10°C to 30°C. This period avoids the harsh summer heat and the monsoon rains, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience. The falls are particularly majestic at this time as the monsoon rains would have replenished the Narmada river, resulting in a spectacular cascade of water that produces a misty ambiance around the falls – giving it the name 'Dhuandhar' or 'smoke cascade'.

Furthermore, visiting in November allows tourists to witness the grand celebration of Narmada Mahotsav, which showcases the beauty and cultural significance of the river. It's essential to note that although the falls are accessible year-round, summers can be incredibly hot with temperatures soaring above 40°C, which might not be comfortable for everyone. Also, during the peak of the monsoon season, usually from July to September, the water level can be very high, which could restrict closer access to the falls due to safety concerns.
