The Bihar Museum, located in Patna, the capital of Bihar, India, is a modern museum that reflects the rich history of the region. Spread across more than 5.3 hectares of land, the museum was established with the aim of providing a contemporary perspective on the historical legacies of Bihar. Designed by the renowned Japanese architects Maki and Associates in collaboration with Mumbai based Opolis architects, it presents a blend of modern architecture, culture, and tradition. Inside, the museum houses a diverse collection of artifacts that range from prehistoric items to Gupta and Maurya era pieces, along with terracotta figurines, scriptures, and ancient coins. The museum features several galleries including the Orientation Gallery, Children's Gallery, Regional Art Gallery, Temporary Exhibitions Gallery, and the Historic Art Gallery, among others. Each gallery is curated to offer visitors insight into the state's rich heritage and art forms. Additionally, the museum has interactive zones designed to engage younger visitors, making it a family-friendly destination.
