Jalan Museum, located in Patna, Bihar, India, is a hidden gem for art and history enthusiasts. Situated near the banks of the River Ganges, the museum is housed within the Qila House, which is a historical building embodying the architectural style of the Mughals and the British colonial era. This private museum was originally the personal collection of Diwan Bahadur Radha Krishna Jalan, who passionately gathered artefacts from across the globe. The museum showcases a diverse anthology of art pieces, ranging from porcelain, paintings, and sculptures to various artefacts of historical significance. The unique feature of La diwan Jalan Museum is that it gives you a glimpse into the Nawabi and Colonial cultures through its eclectic collection. Visitors can expect to find themselves amidst Mughal silver and jade, Chinese paintings, and a fleet of European clocks and mirrors that reflect the stories of the past. The museum maintains a peaceful, well-preserved environment that honors the legacy of R.K. Jalan and provides an introspective journey into history.
