Dedicated to the memory of Mahatma Buddha, the park was inaugurated on the occasion of the 2554th birth anniversary of Buddha, which corresponds to the year 2010. Spread over 22 acres of land, the park is a symbol of peace and harmony, reflecting the teachings of Buddhism and its relevance in the contemporary world. At the center of Buddha Smriti Park stands the Patliputra Karuna Stupa, 200 feet high, which houses the holy relics of Buddha, making it an important pilgrimage site for Buddhists.
