Cactus Garden, officially known as the National Cactus and Succulent Botanical Garden and Research Centre, is located in Chandigarh, Punjab, India. Spread over an area of 7 acres, it is the largest garden in Asia dedicated to rare and endangered species of Indian succulents. Established in 1987 by Dr. J.S. Sarkaria, an avid cacti enthusiast, the garden houses over 3,500 different species of cacti and succulents. Its collection boasts of some of the rarest cacti specimens collected from various parts of the world, artfully displayed in outdoor and indoor settings. The Cactus Garden serves as a center of ex-situ conservation as well as a locus for cacti and succulent studies and research, attracting botanists, researchers, and tourists alike. The garden's layout includes aesthetically arranged rows of plant beds, greenhouses, and a series of paths that allow visitors to explore its diverse collection. It also hosts the Cactus and Succulent Show, a popular event where various species are displayed and available for purchase.

Disappointing
The indoor section and sales counter were locked up on a working day . Very poor labelling . Only staff available was daily-wagers who had been around for 10 days and knew nothing .
