Zakir Hussain Rose Garden, commonly known as the Rose Garden, is Asia's largest garden dedicated to roses. Located in Sector 16 in Chandigarh, Punjab, India, the garden is sprawled across 30 acres of land boasting more than 1600 different species of roses as well as several fountains. This botanical brilliance was named after Zakir Hussain, the former President of India, and was created in 1967 under the guidance of Dr. M.S. Randhawa, Chandigarh's first Chief Commissioner. The garden is not only a spectacle of roses but also houses an assortment of medicinal herbs. It has been a venue of celebration, particularly during the Rose Festival, a major cultural event in the city, which attracts thousands of visitors each year to witness the grandeur of blooming roses. The meticulously planned layout with its curving pathways, pavilions, and ponds offers a serene retreat from the urban rush and provides a unique horticultural experience to all visitors.

Average place!
Could have been maintained way better! Such a large expanse! Good outlets were missing. Flowers were drying up. No water facilities.

Nothing is there to visit. Waste of time and money. Don’t go there if you are a tourist. Totally worthless
