Pinjore Gardens, also known as Yadavindra Gardens, is a Mughal-style garden located in Pinjore, near Chandigarh, in the Indian state of Punjab. The garden is spread over a vast area of 100 acres and is renowned for its lush greenery, fountains, and water bodies that enhance its aesthetic charm. Constructed by architect Nawab Fidai Khan during the reign of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb, it has a terraced layout with seven descending levels, each with a different set of fountains and pavilions. The gardens are a perfect example of the Mughal Garden style, which was geared towards symmetry and grandeur. Over the years, it has been well-maintained and renovated while preserving its historical essence. The main attractions within the gardens include the Shish Mahal, Rang Mahal, and Jal Mahal, along with a mini zoo, a Japanese garden, as well as a nursery selling plants. It's a popular destination for picnickers, history buffs, and nature lovers.
