Charan Paduka is a sacred Hindu site located near Ambaji, a small town in the Banaskantha district of Gujarat, India. This revered place holds a significant religious value as it is believed that the footprints of the goddess Ambaji are imprinted on the rocks of a hilltop. According to the legend, these footprints bear testimony to the spot where the goddess stepped on earth. The site is situated at a certain height, and visitors need to climb stairs to reach the place which provides panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. The pathway to Charan Paduka is well-maintained and dotted with small shrines and refreshment stalls. The tranquil atmosphere accompanied by the sound of temple bells adds to the spiritual experience of the pilgrims. Devotees often visit Charan Paduka while on their pilgrimage to the famous Ambaji Temple, which is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas and a major Shaivism tradition pilgrimage site.
