Gabbar Hill, located near the town of Ambaji in Gujarat, India, is an ancient and sacred hill renowned for its religious significance and natural beauty. This iconic pilgrimage site is associated with the legend of the Goddess Amba, a form of the Mother Goddess. A visit to Gabbar Hill often coincides with a visit to the Ambaji Temple, one of the 51 Shakti Peethas, situated at the hill's base. The hill itself rises to a height of about 480 meters and provides panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Devotees climb up the steps to reach the shrine at the top, which is believed to be the original seat of the Goddess Amba. During the journey, visitors can see the footprints of the Goddess on a rock. A small temple and an altar adorned with the holy trident can be seen at the summit. Gabbar Hill is not only a place of worship but also a spot that offers tranquility and a sense of being one with nature.
