Best Time to Visit Dataar Hills, Junagadh, Gujarat

The optimal period to visit Dataar Hills in Junagadh, Gujarat, is during the winter months, which span from November to February. The weather during this time is usually mild and pleasant, with daytime temperatures hovering around 20°C to 28°C. This creates an ideal climate for hiking and exploring the scenic landscape without the discomfort of extreme heat or the monsoon rains. As the hills are a part of the Girnar mountain range, they attract not only tourists but also pilgrims and trekkers, making winter the best time for these activities. Furthermore, the clear skies offer stunning views of the surrounding areas.

The monsoon season, which lasts from June to September, transforms Dataar Hills into a lush green paradise, and although it is visually appealing, it may not be the most suitable period for a visit due to heavy rainfall, which could potentially disrupt outdoor activities and cause transportation issues. The summer season, from March to May, sees temperatures rising above 30°C, often reaching up to 40°C, which can be quite challenging for visitors not accustomed to the intense heat. Hence, to get the most enjoyable experience with comfortable weather conditions, make sure to plan your visit to Dataar Hills during the winter season for comfortable trekking and sightseeing.
