Spanning over 28 square kilometers, it offers a vast expanse of lush green grassland and is a captivating sight for nature enthusiasts. Bugyal in the local language means 'High Altitude Meadow,' and Dayara is a popular trekking destination throughout the year. In winter, it transforms into a snowy paradise, ideal for skiing. The trek to Dayara Bugyal starts from Barsu village or Raithal village and winds through dense forests, clear streams, and sprawling grasslands. The panoramic view of the Himalayas, including Bandarpoonch, Bhagirathi peaks, and Black Peak, is spellbinding. The meadow is dotted with various flowers and is also home to many species of wildlife. The trek provides an excellent opportunity for photography and camping amidst serene natural beauty.
