Best Time to Visit Hanuman Garhi Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, India

The best time to visit Hanuman Garhi, a notable temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, is during the cooler months of October to March. During this period, the weather is pleasant, with moderate temperatures that range from a comfortable 12°C to a mild 27°C. This cooler climate allows pilgrims and tourists to explore the temple and the city without the extreme heat that can be experienced during the summer months. Winters in Ayodhya are marked by a palpable devotional atmosphere, especially during festivals such as Diwali and Ram Navami, when the temple and city come alive with millions of lights, cultural events, and processions.

April to June marks the summer season, which is characterized by hot and dry weather, making outdoor activities quite challenging; temperatures can soar to 40°C or higher. The monsoon season follows, from July to September, which brings heavy rainfall and can sometimes cause inconveniences in travel due to water-logged streets. Although the temple remains open throughout the year, visiting during the peak of summer or monsoon might not provide the most comfortable experience. For the most favorable conditions, timing your visit in the suggested cooler months not only ensures better weather but also offers the chance to participate in some of the major Hindu festivities taking place in the historic city of Ayodhya.
