Best Time To Visit Jata Shankar Caves (Pachmarhi) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Jata Shankar Caves

The Jata Shankar Caves in Pachmarhi, Madhya Pradesh, India, are a prime attraction for tourists seeking natural beauty coupled with spiritual significance. The best time to visit these caves is during the winter season, which spans from October to March. During this period, the weather is pleasant with cooler temperatures that range from 4°C to 15°C, making it comfortable for visitors to explore the caves and the surrounding areas. This weather is ideal for sightseeing, trekking, and other outdoor activities that Pachmarhi offers.

Monsoon season, from July to September, can also be a good time to visit due to the greenery that prevails post rainfall. However, heavy rains can sometimes cause access issues to the caves and may make the pathways slippery. People keen on enjoying the lush landscape and waterfalls at their full glory might prefer this time, but they should be prepared for potential rain-related inconveniences. Conversely, the summer months, from April to June, can be hot with temperatures soaring up to 35°C, which might not be the most comfortable for cave exploration.
