Best Time to Visit Kapildhara Waterfall in Amarkantak

The Kapildhara Waterfall, located near the sacred town of Amarkantak in Madhya Pradesh, is a beautiful natural spectacle. The best time to visit this waterfall is during the monsoon and post-monsoon months, typically from July to October. During this period, the region receives ample rainfall which brings the waterfall to its full vigor. The water cascades down from a height of about 100 feet, making it a breathtaking sight. The surrounding greenery is lush during the monsoons, enhancing the scenic beauty of the waterfall. However, it's advisable to be cautious as the area can be slippery and the water flow is strong.

Visitors preferring a more tranquil experience can consider the post-monsoon months of November and December when the rainfall has ceased, and the waters are less turbulent. The weather during this time is pleasant, not too hot nor too cold, making it ideal for exploring and enjoying the serene environment. The surrounding forests of Amarkantak are also full of life during these months. Nonetheless, tourists should be aware that in the peak winter months of January and February, the water flow may be considerably reduced, and hence the waterfall might not be as impressive as it is during the monsoon season.
