Kedar Ghati, or Kedar Valley, is situated in the Champawat district of the Indian state of Uttarakhand. Surrounded by verdant hills and situated close to the Nepal border, this valley is steeped in mythological significance and natural beauty. It is named after the Kedar Khand, the historical name of the region, and is believed to be the abode of Lord Shiva. The valley offers panoramic views of snow-capped Himalayan peaks and is dotted with ancient temples, including the famous Kedarnath Temple, which is, however, not located in this district but in Rudraprayag district. The rugged terrain and the winding paths leading to the valley are an invitation to trekkers and spiritual seekers alike. Owing to its elevation, the valley experiences cool to cold temperatures throughout the year, though monsoons may bring landslides and challenging weather conditions. Due to its remote location, the valley is relatively untouched by bustling city life, offering peace and tranquility to visitors.
