Purnagiri Temple is a revered religious site nestled atop the Purnagiri hill, in the Champawat district of Uttarakhand, India. The temple is dedicated to the Hindu Goddess Purnagiri and is considered one of the 108 Siddha Peethas. It rests at an altitude of around 3000 meters, offering spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and the Kali River, which runs alongside. This ancient shrine sees a heavy influx of pilgrims during the Chaitra Navratri festival in March-April when it is believed the Goddess manifests her spiritual energy. The journey to the temple includes a climb of several steps, which takes visitors through lush forests and rugged terrain, embodying a blend of natural beauty and spiritual solace. The path is dotted with local shops selling religious paraphernalia and local snacks. Once at the top, the serene ambiance and panoramic vistas create an overwhelming sense of peace and devotion.
