Lal Bagh Palace, a testament to the grandeur of the Holkar dynasty, is an epitome of architectural splendor in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. It spans 28 acres of land and exhibits influences from European styles of decoration. Built by Maharaja Shivaji Rao Holkar in the late 19th century, the palace served as a residence for the Holkars until it was transformed into a museum in 1978. Its interiors are adorned with Italianate frescoes, ornamental moldings, and exquisite stained glass. The ballroom, once the site of royal gatherings, retains a baroque feel with a wooden floor mounted on springs for an extra bounce during dances. The palace's plush gardens, reminiscent of Versailles, add to its elegance. The museum inside offers a glimpse into the bygone era with displays of royal artifacts, antiques, and coins, providing an insightful look into the lives of the Holkar rulers.

Good experience
This is also to be included in your Indore visit. You will come to know how Rajas were living and behaving just before independence. I think there I saw seven killed tigers.
