Lendi Baug is a serene garden located in Shirdi, Maharashtra, which is best known for its association with the revered saint Sai Baba. The garden was named after a stream called 'Lendi', which used to flow through the area. Sai Baba himself planted trees and spent a considerable amount of time here, watering the plants daily and resting under a Neem tree. Today, Lendi Baug has become a place of pilgrimage, attracting thousands of devotees from all over the world. The garden houses various structures of importance such as the Nanda Deep, which burns continuously, lit by Sai Baba himself, and a marble 'Deepagraha' now surrounds it. There is also a Datta temple in the garden, along with shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva and Lord Ganesh. Sai Baba's devotee Shri H.V. Sathe started the practice of lighting lamps here. The tranquility of the garden, interspersed with the historical artifacts and the shaded resting spots, provide a peaceful environment for prayer and meditation.
