During this period, the weather in Kerala is pleasantly cool and dry, making it ideal for sightseeing and outdoor activities. Temperatures range from a comfortable 18°C to 30°C, which is perfect for enjoying the scenic beauty without the discomfort of heat and humidity. Moreover, as this is peak tourist season, the facilities and guided tours around the dam are more readily available, allowing visitors to experience the rich culture and biodiversity of the region.

However, if you're interested in experiencing the monsoon beauty, you might want to consider visiting just after the monsoon season, around August to September. The landscape around Meenkara Dam will be lush and green, providing a vivid contrast to the sparkling waters of the dam. While this time still sees occasional showers, the monsoon's intensity has usually weakened, and you can witness the dam in its full glory with water levels at their peak.
