Mehtab Bagh, situated in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, is a Mughal era garden complex that stands opposite the Yamuna River from the Taj Mahal. Covering about 25 acres, the garden was originally built by Emperor Babur and is considered the last of eleven such gardens built along the Yamuna’s east bank. Mehtab Bagh, which translates to 'Moonlight Garden', was designed as an integral part of the Taj Mahal complex and is in perfect alignment with the iconic mausoleum. The garden was laid out as a charbagh, a Persian-style garden with quadrilateral layout. It offers splendid views of the Taj, particularly under moonlight, and is known for its tranquility away from the busier tourist spots. The site was excavated and restored after being submerged and damaged by floods, and now features walkways, water fountains, and lush greenery, making it a photographer's paradise and an ideal spot for viewing the Taj Mahal without the crowds.

Overpriced gardens with poor view of Taj Mahal
Very overpriced place to visit for foreigners. The gardens themselves are not much to look at. There are some ruins which have barbed wire around them and they partially block the view of the Taj Maha..

Total waste of money!
Total waste of money! None of the plantings have reached maturity and very little restoration work has been done. Maybe come in 2040.

Just for Taj picture!
The park is not well mantain. You pay an entrance fee just to take pictures of Taj Mahal. They need to trim grass and mantain the park.
