Best Time To Visit Nandi Hills (Bangalore (Bengaluru)) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Nandi Hills, Bangalore

The best time to visit Nandi Hills, which lies near Bangalore in Karnataka, India, is during the post-monsoon period and the winter months, which stretch from September to February. During this phase, the weather is extremely pleasant with cooler temperatures that range between 10°C and 25°C. The cool climate makes it ideal for taking a stroll around the hill fortress, exploring the ancient temples, and enjoying the scenic beauty without the discomfort of harsh sunlight or excessive heat. The post-monsoon period particularly enhances the verdant landscape, making the terrain lush and the atmosphere filled with crisp, clean air. The morning mist typically cloaks the hills until the sun's rays unveil the breathtaking vista that Nandi Hills is famous for.

Furthermore, the winter months offer an opportunity to witness a spectacular sunrise from the hilltops, which is a major attraction for tourists and photographers alike. The added advantage during this season is the clear skies that enable a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside and the occasional blanket of cloud cover that creates an ethereal, floating sensation. It is essential to carry light woolens because the mornings and late evenings tend to be cool. Monsoons, from June to August, bring heavy rainfall, which could lead to slippery slopes and reduced visibility, hence are typically less ideal for sightseeing. Summers, from March to May, are warmer and may deter those who are sensitive to higher temperatures; however, the early mornings during this period remain a lovely time for visits, with cooler air and fewer visitors.
